In March 2021, UCLA gathered twenty musicians from Russia and surrounding nations to learn about contemporary songwriting from Pam, Richard, and their extensive team of young mentors. The Russian artists were scattered all the way from Paris to the Chinese border––and the edge of the Arctic Circle.
We all came together, working across multiple languages with ease., for an incredibly fruitful and good-natured series of songwriting classes. Richard and Pam were the perfect professionals, making sure that everything ran on time and we certainly made use of every minute. The Russian artists produced tracks, together with the US mentors, of which they are very proud.
Each and every one of them left inspired and energized, thanks to the classes' upbeat, experienced, and generous staff. I would recommend SongWriter Camps to anybody considering an international bootcamp or writing-intensive venture. We used a simultaneous translator on Zoom for those students who wanted a little help.
