STEVEN MELROSE

Born and raised in Scotland, Steven has 20 years of experience as a label executive and managerial entrepreneur, starting with the founding the biggest US electronic label of the late 90’s, City of Angels (Crystal Method) to being named Co-President of Epic Records UK (2012-2016).
Under the mentorship of Nick Gatfield, (Chairman of EMI & Sony), Steven re-established Epic as a leading frontline label for Sony Worldwide.
Steven was Head of A&R at Capitol Records between 2007 to 2011 in Los Angeles overseeing projects ranging from Katy Perry, Goriilaz, VV Brown, HOCKEY plus many more. He was also part of the team in non-traditional ventures with DeadMaus and Swedish House Mafia including a number of global investment deals.
As Senior A&R at Island Records (2005-2008), Steven was involved in the signings and development of acts including Sam Sparro and Keane on the Island Records roster.
Most recently Steven was SVP at Big Deal Music building an artist and company development division, in addition to managing Mondo Cozmo (Last Gang), ONR (Warner Bros.) and Carina Jade, (Island records) Wrenn KISLO and others under the “I FEEL LOVE” Media Moniker.
